So... I don't know about you but I don't think "Obama Fried Chicken" is empowering to African-Americans following the election of B-Rock into the executive office. While Clipse is by far my favorite pair of lyricists of all time (that's right, I said, now come debate with me), they have indeed outdone themselves with their single "Popular Demand (Popeye's)" off of their upcoming album "Till The Casket Drops." The highly-anticipated third studio album from the critically-acclaimed brother combo features a new breed of Re-Up music, but the concept for the video for this track just didn't sit right with me.
Possibly the second biggest video fuck-up after "Best I Ever Had," you got Pusha T and Malice chillin' outside of a sub shop (renamed "Obama Fried Chicken") eating chicken with a group of by-standers discussing reasons as to why the fans demand more from them. But um... who the hell decided putting Cam'ron on this joint would be a lucrative decision? The man looks broker than he really is, sporting an untrimmed goatee that only accentuates his gap-toothed antics... And his verse sucks. So yeah, enjoy this Hip-Hop failure and countless reason among many as to why Obama will continue to call rappers "jackasses" (Hey Kanye.).
Ask me if I care... ATM
