Mayer Hawthorne (New Music)

"The Walk" is an ode to those long leaded heart breakers. Hawthorne really needs to go on tour with Cee-lo. They are really bringing back that Happy Days/Motown soul back. How Do You Do is scheduled to release on October 11th.

From the moment that I met you I thought you were fine, so fine
But you're shitty fucking attitude has got me changing my mind

New Music: Melanie Fiona

I'm actually excited for Fiona's next album The MF Life (dropping this November). This track makes me think of The Weeknd. Ohhhh I'm forcing these 2 to go on tour together.

Swear this man is begging me to leave him
Getting sick of being so mistreated
Another night without, without his arms around me

New Music: Theophilus London

He's back at it again. I can't wait for that debut to drop. *SIGH* Patience woman, PATIENCE. "No Particular One" has London singing over a Motown island beat. "Field of Dreams" didn't make the studio cut but should appear on his Prince TL mixtape which will be out this fall.

I don't have (no particular one)
I don't see (no particular one)

Just don't pick up the telephone line
Sticks and stones can break my words

Jill Scott "Shame" (Video)

How many ways can I say YES. Don't get me wrong, Ms. Scott can definitely act but thank GOD she is back in the studio. Did I mentioned that she sampled Special Ed's "Magnificent"???? And Eve is in it? And it's leaking of hip hop, soul, and Philly love too???? I just need ya'll to get on the good foot and act like you know. "Shame" is off of Light of the Sun which drops June 28th of this year. Shouts to all of my Cancers! : )

It’s a shame (shame, shame, shame)!
You’re missing all the good things, yeah!

You might not understand what I'm saying at first
So action love, put it in reverse

B.o.B "Don't Let Me Fall" (Video)

Hey all. I'm going to keep this short and simple. I love B.o.B. and Bobby Ray. I'mk disspaointed that I don't own B.o.B Presents: The Adventures in Bobby Ray. This is the latest video off of that album and what can I say but, it's amazing. He's one of the FEW artists now that I think truly haven't allowed stardom to change them. I can remember his mixtape days and gosh [wipes tear] I'm so proud of him. Go out and cop.

Yeah, not far much longer
From where that pavement is
Cause there ain't no parachute
That they can make for this

Adale "Rolling in the Deep" (Video)

Yes this is real. Adele is finally BACK. "Rolling in the Deep" is the debut single off of her sophomore album which is cleverly titled 21 (that's how hold she'll be when she was recording it). Get excited. Oh and don't be fooled. This is actually the music video to the song. I know, mad artisitc for no reason. 21 hits stores January 21st of next year.

See how I leave with every piece of you
Don’t underestimate the things that I will do

New Wiz Khalifa

This song just makes me proud to be black/African American/alive. The music is a Toto sample called, are you ready for this, "Africa". This weekend just became Lion King weekend.

Now they gotta talk about me when I'm gone.

Chrisette Michele "I'm A Star" (Video)

I honestly love this woman. Her music always makes me feel better when I'm down. "I'm a Star" is the debut single off of her upcoming album Let Freedom Reign, which drops November 30th. Side note: Does she hate hair or what? She reminds me a lot Taraji P. Henson, you know, the actress from Baby Boy.

Rain starts pourin and it don't stop
Let myself drown no I will not
Smile on my pretty mug
I get right back on my horse and I giddy up

Eric Benet "Sometimes I Cry" (Video)

Mr. Ex Halle Berry is back with a new album, Lost in Time, dropping next month. It's debut single "Sometimes I Cry" is a force. Lately Hamilton has been full of male narratives which is um, a break from the norm? Anyway, this song goes hard for male sensitivity which is great in all but I couldn't help thinking of how much Benet sounds like a cheap rip off of Maxwell. I also couldn't help but think if this was dedicated to a certain black X-Man superhero. Regardless, I love his voice and the shower scene leaked sex appeal.

But when we're makin love
She don't take me there like you used to
And it hurts when I lie (when I lie baby)
Help me understand how to push you out,
Forget you and let you go,
Cuz Lord knows I've tried, yeah

Chris Brown "Yeah 3X" (Video)

So I guess when you want your career saved you make club music. It worked for Usher. I love that not too long ago Chris was with Tyga and chopping them deuces. Now he's dancing with children. Ok...I'm going to go along with this Michael Jackson moment. I really feel like this would be performed on the Kids Choice Awards. And to be honest, I have no problem with that. I'm digginh this video, and in some odd ways digging this Chris Brown, though it's obvious that he had Jason Derulo have the same stylist. "Yeah 3x" is the debut single off of his upcoming album F.A.M.E. (Forgiving All My Enemies) which is due out either at the end of this year or sometime in early '11. I applaud him for FINALLY exhaling and telling everyone to STFU. I wish him the best. Oh and once again he kills it with the dancing.

I hope this lasts awhile
We should make this last awhile

Don't Call It A Comback: The Floacist

Now I'm not the one to start drama BUT I will state that there's a THIN line between a coincidence and a conspiracy, and this smells like the latter. So we all love the Brit duo Floerty. The ladies blended hip hop with R&B beautifully and it was heartbreaking to hear of their split in '07. Yeah Marsha Ambrosius (the singer) stayed on and brought in Amanda Diva (who I love) but ish was never the same. WELL, fast forward to Summer 2010 when Ambrosius dropped her SOLO debut Late Nights & Early Mornings. That's where the story ends right? Right? WRONG. Well I guess Natalie Stewart refused to be outdone because The Floacist is also dropping a solo album. Here's her debut single "Forever" featuring Musiq which is off of Floetic Soul (dropping November 9th). I'm not going to try and start nothing between these 2 but I would rather see them reunited. Wishful thinking? Regardless, this bald headed British Black beauty brought it! (Try saying that 3 times fast.)

They don't understand
How could they understand
The don't believe in love
So why would they believe in us

Don't Call It A Comback: Sunshine Anderson

I'm so excited to hear from this gifted neo-soul artist. It has literally been 9 years since her debut smash "Heard It All Before" hit the scene. She's dropped albums since then but nothing that created a real buzz. Well now she's back with another 'love don't live here no more' track. "Lie to Kick It" is off of The Sun Shines Again which drops November 2nd. I'm happy to announce that her songs don't mirror her personal life. She and her husband of 3 years are expecting a child next month.

(You told me) your job was investment real estate (I found out) you got caught up moving weight upstate So then I guess that makes you a convicted felon So tell me what the hell houses you buying and selling

What were you thinking bringing her into our home In our bed, you must have fell and bumped your head Messing up my sheets and violating me Have me bout to call my peeps and take it to the streets

New Macy Gray

Latest single by Macy Gray off of her new album The Sellout which is out now. You better respect REAL love ballads. Can we talk about the mini history lesson Black Dynamite gave? The outtakes are classic. Hilarious and accurate. What more do you want out of life? And it's good to hear from Bobby Brown again. Reunited and it feels SO good.

"Why am I doing that? This is amazing." LOL he was in awe at how he was fudging things up.

Baby, I will kiss you, even when you have the flu
I'll be good to you when you're bad
Love you, love you baby
Lay you down and save you
I'm you super hero
I'm a fan, I'm a fan

Don't Call It A Comback: Tiffany Evans

Haven't heard from baby Ciara in a few years. Glad to announce that she's out with a new single "I'll Be There" which is supposed to be the debut to her upcoming album Ms. Tiffany, due out next year. At first I wasn't really feeling it. I mean she's finally legal (turned 18 in August) and she wants to return with this Michael Jackson we are the world type song? Really? Is that what you REALLY want to do? But on the other hand it's actually refreshing to hear a female artist sing about loyalty, as opposed to conceitedness. Not to mention music like this is GREATLY needed in light of all these recent teen suicides due to bullying. Much respect Ms. Evans for actually doing something as oppose to just dedicating your Facebook status to chain letter thoughts.

See ‘em bleedin’
No more smiles
Goodbye letters
On the ground
When no one will spare their ears
I’ll be there

If ya break ya promise we breakin up
Got a couple things that I want
Walks in the park and sweet things
If I rock your promise ring
