HOT OR NOT: Maino-Get 'Em Tiger

So in light of the recent Tiger Woods sex scandal, Maino decided to put out a song comparing his "sexcapades" to the scandalous nature of the acclaimed pro golfer. The sad thing is, this song isn't that bad by Maino's standards. The beat's hot in my opinion and at least he isn't takin' direct shots at Tiger. What do you think about the track?

Cop Out (Trailer) Starring Tracy Morgan and Bruce Willis

Here's a piece of coal for your stocking. First of all Tracy Morgan in a starring role... wrong. Second of all, Bruce Willis co-starring... in a comedy... wrong. Oh well, it's not like we haven't seen this before (Google cop films by Martin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy).

THE CONNECT: Outasight's FURTHER

YOyoyo what's hood losers and lames? KID BLACK, get at me?!? NOW LET ME HOOK YOU UP!!!

[click the pic for that good ish]

Meet Outasight. Born and raised in Yonkers, New York, Outasight (Richard Andrew) was brought up by a mother who decorated the walls with records and a father who was always playing the guitar. “Constantly moving from apartment to apartment never really gave me a true sense of home, but I always found comfort in music,” says the rapper/singer. He cites his influences as: Stevie Wonder, Mos Def, Marvin Gaye and The Beatles. The album is called FURTHER and his sound tottes reminds me of a polished DBK. Take it. Like it. Share it. Happy Holidays.

The Karate Kid Remake (Trailer)

Remake of "The Karate Kid" starring Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan... enjoy.

Who's got yellow fever?... ATM

Wyclef Jean, Will Smith, Toby Keith, and Natasha Bedingfield?

No, this isn't the next concept for a Girl Talk super mash-up. This is what happens when a bunch of American musicians clash at an after party in Norway for the Nobel Piece Prize ceremony. You got Wyclef with his receding hairline looking more and more like that Haitian uncle at the cookout who's had one too many glasses of rum; you got my man Will Smith holding on dearly for his youth by doing a cover of "Rapper's Delight" (ask any 15 year old to recite those lyrics and they'll probably Google it on their iPhone); then you got Toby Keith jumping in to throw down a verse; all to be capped off by Natasha Bedingfield's interpretation of Lauryn Hill's chorus on "Ready or Not." Congratulations Obama... like your legislative policies, I don't know if I should celebrate such an event or shake my head in dismay.

Que of Day 26 Reacts to Getting Kicked Out of the Group

So... for anyone who gives a flying f**k about Diddy's second to last bad creation (anyone remember Dirty Money?), here's news on some guy named Que who got kicked out of Day 26. I actually recall the band having issues with this guy when I watched a couple of episodes of Making the Band... and decided to never make that choice again after I saw them live and realized they sucked even before then.

My issue with this video is Que's persistance on getting his contact info out there. Clearly this guy has nothing going for him outside of the group so someone needs to contact his manager, whose number he publicly threw out there as a Hail Mary shot in the dark. Homeboy doesn't even have a Facebook? lol... oh Diddy, you continue to ruin people's lives on a daily basis... and it still seems to entertain me.

Game Reacts to 50's Recent Album Sales

Leave it to The Game to give his two cents where pocket change is just not needed. While I think everyone is in the same boat of ambilavence towards 50 Cent's career and it's recent downward spiral (I mean, he's not falling off as badly as other artists... *cough*cough* how well did Game's last album do?), one has to appreciate the fact that Game does speak a little truth in his sarcasm towards Fif. Nonetheless, he needs to shave off that dumbass fo-hawk and... wait... why is he gettin' a Star Trak tattoo?... DID GAME GET PICKED UP BY PHARRELL???

New Video by Juelz Santana ft. Chris Brown

So it's Finals week here on the Hill which means I'm lookin' for any excuse to procrastinate. Fortunately, I came across this new Juelz joint and was pleasantly surprised by the song and video to go with it. For one, it features one of my favorite video girls, new sensation Rosa Acosta (XXL's "Eye Candy of the Year") and a bunch of other cuties. Secondly, this song ain't that bad. Polow Da Don did his thing with the horns and Chris Breezey is slowly but surely redeeming himself with vocals like the ones featured on the chorus. While I'm glad that Juelz is still making music, I'm not getting my hopes up about his next project. If anyone remembers "Days of Our Lives" which was released this past summer, you understand what I mean when I say I don't know when this next album will see the light of day... (Does it even have a title at this point?)

UPDATE: It's your boy Grandmaster Benji. Lady Trace-Y ran this track by me a month ago being that Juelz is from Harlem. I gave it a A+ then. A music video for the fans only solidifies it. A!

Throwback Treasures: Slum Villiage "Tainted"

Okkkaaaaaayyy so quick, random, my ass should be in bed post. To be honest I wasn't really feeling Slum Village as much as I was feeling the dude on the old broke down church organ, who I would later figure out is Dwele and claim as my husband (but that's not until one wild night of baking cookies in Wertimer's kitchen) . Regardless, this was one of the toughest videos to come out of the 2002. It reminded me of the animated show PJs. (ONCE UPON TIME IN THE PJS...LOW RENT HIGH RISE YA'LL) Anyway, so here's the trio's hit "Tainted" off of their album Trinity (Past, Present, and Future). Ok off to bed. [sigh] less than a week. Watch me crash by Tuesday.

Worse Remake Ever

Normally it's difficult, no damn near impossible, for Chris Rock to disappointment me. Then I saw the trailer to his new comedy, Death at a Funeral, out this spring. The movie is a remake to the 2007 British comedy of the exact same title. Actually, everything is the same, the plot, the lines, they even use the exact same actor to play the exact same role. Honestly, the only thing that separate the two is the fact the remake has...BLACK PEOPLE. This is almost as worse as when Diddy to that "remake" to "Missing You" in dedication of Biggy Smalls' death. All he really did was rap over it and have Faith Evens assist Sting in singing a few verses. But who am I kidding, I'm still going to see it. Chances are I won't pay to see it, but I'll still see it. Not for the plot but to see how Martin Lawrence and Chris Rock's comedic chemistry will play out. Oh and kudos to Danny Glover for finding work.
