Let Me Put You On: Machine Gun Kelly

Machine Gun Kelly is a perfect example of why I must peep the music of new artists with a buzz. Hailing from the forsaken, Lebron-abandoned streets of Cleveland, Machine Gun Kelly delivers a poignant verbal assault to a listeners ears while maintaining the delivery of someone you can understand line for line. He sounds like a refreshed, witty, menacing Twista. After getting some press in XXL magazine, he's now got the visuals for his track "Get Laced." Seriously, enjoy.

Hot Mess of the Week: Lady-Yankin

The "Hot Mess of the Week" might seem like a really subjective subject for you, so who knows, maybe I'm wrong about this one. You be the judge.

HOT OR NOT: Bobby Brackins

I don't know what A1 means but I do know it's an expensive ass steak sauce. I guess anything that is "A1" is on that boss status and is delicious. Dev just might own the summer. Watch what I told you. As for Bobby Brackins, he looks a little too much like Raz B and sounds a little too much like Legacy from the New Boyz.
"My lifestyle is A1."

Things That Make You Go Hmmmm: Tyler, The Creator at SXSW

Tyler The Creator: "F**k Billboard... I don't even read that s**t!" from Ruby Hornet on Vimeo.

How do ya'll feel about this? Apparently Tyler got on Twitter after and said, "Billboard is cool. That show was stupid. Thanks to the fans and niggas that was there in the front. Wasn't Billboards fault, FUCK THAT CLUB." Wouldn't take him to be the type to go back on his words, no matter how irrational they may be...

Let Me Put You On: Theophilus London

Tonight brought the much need return of the Trifecta (My Parker Brother & H.R. Paperstacks). While we sat in a Wal*Mart parking lot for a grand total of 7 hrs (yeah that's how we roll), this song stayed on repeat. Theophilus London hails from Brooklyn and has a real smooth flow which goes lovely with his care free beats. "Flying Overseas" is off of his Lovers Holiday LP and is personally becoming a favorite of mine. I think the reason I'm borderline obsessed with him is because of his swag: it's so comfortable. He really is in touch with who is as an artist and refuses to compromise. Not to mention he is OD an 80s baby. I can definitely relate. Oh and that lovely woman singing is none other than Solange. Ain't it good to hear from her again?

When I'm overseas your love just come over me
Attacking me viciously in a sweet way that's loving to me
Gifts and diamond rings, a car, that's nothing to me
You send a picture, a mail package, that's something to me

Music Video: Wiz Khalifa - Roll Up

A tactful move on Wiz's part. His major label debut Rolling Papers doesn't drop until the end of the month (3/29) and attempting to bank off the success of "Black & Yellow" probably won't sustain the buzz he has right now. So what's an artist to do? Release another commercial-friendly single. Although I think this record is a little too Pop for Taylor Gang fans, it'll be interesting to see what affect it has on the wider public who are the reason why "Black & Yellow" went double Platinum.

1) Glad to see Chiddy (of Chiddy Bang) is making guest appearances in videos. Where's Xaphoon?...

2) WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME ERIN CHRISTINE LOOKED LIKE THAT???

3) Pretty good attempt at making something creative out of a limited budget. Should Kanye and Weezy be taking notes?...

Then And Now: J-Kwon

I haven't heard music from J-Kwon since "Hood Hop" so I'm assuming this is a comeback single/video. Visually, not much has changed... looks a little older but he's still rockin' the corn-rows.
