So in light of the recent Tiger Woods sex scandal, Maino decided to put out a song comparing his "sexcapades" to the scandalous nature of the acclaimed pro golfer. The sad thing is, this song isn't that bad by Maino's standards. The beat's hot in my opinion and at least he isn't takin' direct shots at Tiger. What do you think about the track?

So... for anyone who gives a flying f**k about Diddy's second to last bad creation (anyone remember Dirty Money?), here's news on some guy named Que who got kicked out of Day 26. I actually recall the band having issues with this guy when I watched a couple of episodes of Making the Band... and decided to never make that choice again after I saw them live and realized they sucked even before then.

My issue with this video is Que's persistance on getting his contact info out there. Clearly this guy has nothing going for him outside of the group so someone needs to contact his manager, whose number he publicly threw out there as a Hail Mary shot in the dark. Homeboy doesn't even have a Facebook? lol... oh Diddy, you continue to ruin people's lives on a daily basis... and it still seems to entertain me.

So it's Finals week here on the Hill which means I'm lookin' for any excuse to procrastinate. Fortunately, I came across this new Juelz joint and was pleasantly surprised by the song and video to go with it. For one, it features one of my favorite video girls, new sensation Rosa Acosta (XXL's "Eye Candy of the Year") and a bunch of other cuties. Secondly, this song ain't that bad. Polow Da Don did his thing with the horns and Chris Breezey is slowly but surely redeeming himself with vocals like the ones featured on the chorus. While I'm glad that Juelz is still making music, I'm not getting my hopes up about his next project. If anyone remembers "Days of Our Lives" which was released this past summer, you understand what I mean when I say I don't know when this next album will see the light of day... (Does it even have a title at this point?)

UPDATE: It's your boy Grandmaster Benji. Lady Trace-Y ran this track by me a month ago being that Juelz is from Harlem. I gave it a A+ then. A music video for the fans only solidifies it. A!

Throwback Treasures: Slum Villiage "Tainted"

Okkkaaaaaayyy so quick, random, my ass should be in bed post. To be honest I wasn't really feeling Slum Village as much as I was feeling the dude on the old broke down church organ, who I would later figure out is Dwele and claim as my husband (but that's not until one wild night of baking cookies in Wertimer's kitchen) . Regardless, this was one of the toughest videos to come out of the 2002. It reminded me of the animated show PJs. Worse Remake Ever

Normally it's difficult, no damn near impossible, for Chris Rock to disappointment me. Then I saw the trailer to his new comedy, Death at a Funeral, out this spring. The movie is a remake to the 2007 British comedy of the exact same title. Actually, everything is the same, the plot, the lines, they even use the exact same actor to play the exact same role. Honestly, the only thing that separate the two is the fact the remake has...BLACK PEOPLE. This is almost as worse as when Diddy to that "remake" to "Missing You" in dedication of Biggy Smalls' death. All he really did was rap over it and have Faith Evens assist Sting in singing a few verses. But who am I kidding, I'm still going to see it. Chances are I won't pay to see it, but I'll still see it. Not for the plot but to see how Martin Lawrence and Chris Rock's comedic chemistry will play out. Oh and kudos to Danny Glover for finding work.

Ummm quick question; is Drake the new Beyonce because I am seeing him EVERYWHERE. Anyway, my hubby is back with the best pre-gaming anthem of 2009, "Pursuit of Happiness." I'm beyond disappointed wth his album (Man on the Moon: End of the Day) sales right now. I hate to think that he's destined to be only a mixtape artist. Then again, there is honor in that. My Favorite Bi-Polar Rapper Is BACK!!!

B.o.B. aka Bobby Ray is back with a new joint, "Nothing on You" featuring Bruno Mars. This is the first single off of his upcoming debut album B.o.B. Presents The Adventures of Bobby Ray dropping April of next year. I really love the song. It's a more romantic version of Drake's "Best I Ever Had" without any mention of sex. Mars' voice is a nice touch especially since it isn't auto-tuned. Even though the word is never mentioned it's good to know that there are rappers out there that have no problem with admitting that they're [sigh] in love.

Snoop's Trip Down the Rabbit Hole

I have to hand it to Mr. S N Double O P P D O Double Juh Z (Snoop Dogg for the illiterate fans) for still being in the game. It's been over 20 years since he debuted Doggystyle and schooled the world on how the West Coast got down. Now he's back with his 10th album Malice n Wonderland, dropping this Tuesday (12/8). This album is supposed to merge music with cinema where Snoop plays Malice, a super gangster and modern black Robin Hood. What all this has to do with Alice in Wonderland, I don't really know. But what I do know is that I applaud Snoop for combining the West and East Coast style of music in "I Wanna Rock." The West coast side is not only his laid back gin and juice way with a mic but by featuring the JabbaWockeeZ and some black skateboader (I think I saw on Beef for having some issues with Lupe Fiasco) who are all straight out of Cali. Snoop represents the East coast by sampling "It Takes Two", Rob Base and DJ E-Z Roc's '88 classic hit who hail from Harlem (enter Benji who yells AYE). Here's the video and can someone please explain why Jamie Foxx is in it?

I am honestly so pleased to present this album to you. It's light and bubbly and feels like it is meant for children, but as you listen, homegirl here is talking about some serious shit. NO JOKE. She has already been compared to Luryn Hill because of the concepts and vocal quality. The feel on this project is very diverse, there should be something on here for everyone. I was alitle angry that none of the songs on the ep made the album, but thats fine. It's a dope album none the less. Anywhoo, scoop it up and let us know what you think.
