Music Video: Eminem (feat. Lil Wayne)-No Love
Even if two of the hottest rappers in the game are not your cup of tea, you should definitely check out what Eminem has been on lately. His last two videos have been eerily relevant to the commentary the American public needs right now (in case you don't watch the news, a lot of suicides have been popping up across the country lately and many of them have been linked to bullying). I may not agree with how the video plays out but the commentary is definitely noteworthy. And you can avoid the fact that the guy has gone double platinum and is still in the top 5 of the Billboard 200 charts and his colleague on the track has recently released an EP from jail. Enjoy...

Anthem of The Night: "Like A G6"
This isn't new at all but hey, sometimes it takes the East Coast a while to be put on. "Like A G6" is from the Cali group Far East Movement. This joint recently became the #1 single on iTunes and is already #10 on the Billboard Charts. But these fellas deserve BIG ups for being the FIRST Asian American group to break into the iTunes and Billboard Top 10 list (2 are Korean-American, 1 is Japanese-American, and the other is Filipino-American). That, along with the flex foot, is hip hop.
Poppin bottles in the ice, like a blizzard
When we drink we do it right gettin slizzard
Sippin sizzurp in my ride, like Three 6
Now I’m feelin so fly like a G6
Like a G6, Like a G6
Now I’m feelin so fly like a G6

New Music: Ciara
Alright. Back when Ciara came out (I was in middle school) I was her number one fan. She was a black female artist that cared about the art of dance and it showed through her music. Ohhh you had to STRETCH before you hit the dance floor for one of her joints. And she was one of the few women in the game that was ok with her body to the point that she wasn't going to enhance, tuck, or remove anything.
Well fast forward almost a decade and a bad break-up and a boob job later you have this video. "Speechless" left me well...speechless. She did nothing but give a lap dance to a chair, whisper sweet nothings at a wall, and make sinful snow angels on a rug. Whoopee freaking do.
Basic Instinct drops November 2nd
CORRECTION: ALBUM'S RELEASE HAS BEEN PUSHED BACK TO DECEMBER 14TH
I'd need another day in the week
An extra hour on the clock
Just to show you how beautiful you are.
You're so good to me. Boy
You're so good to me.

Let Me Put You On: Cymphonique
Hopping on the "my kid's a star!" bandwagon is Master P. I guess now that Lil' Romeo is trying to do the whole college thing it's time to move on to the next child, Cymphonique. The 14 year old oozes sex appeal and all honesty, I don't feel creepy saying that. Granted, her single "Solider Girl" is all wrapped up in girl power with a pro-war ribbon, but it's obvious from the way she moves that she's definitely doesn't want you to forget how foine she looks. Now, this military style was cute when her brother and dad were big, circa early 2000s. She doesn't seem like a follower though that's exactly what she's doing. And unless she wants to be associated with "an alleged" coke user, I suggest she changes her image quick.
Oh and I need NO ONE to refer to her by "Lil' Miss Swagger." There is SO much wrong with that title...she does get points for the various ages of girls represented in the video. Ok, much respect ladies.
I predict that she might ACTUALLY have a creear. She has the range and if she plays the right cards she might walk away with her own show on Nick.
Shouts to my girls going hard on the block, block
Ya'll put up ya ones and let em know how ya rock, rock

New Music: Patwa
You can't go wrong with an MC who can kill a Shyne/Barrington Levy collabo. Introducing Patwa, a Jamaican NYC born female MC who's looking to make her claim in the game. The freestyle was hot and you even get a chance to get to know who she is in the subsequent interview. I'll definitely be following this artist (quite literally, @officialpatwa). Enjoy...

DON’T CALL IT A COMEBACK: Marsha Ambrosius
Around The Way: @shanazd -Pencil me in
Here i go again posting music from around the way. But i'm super excited to post music that I really enjoy from people I actually know. Before going back to the UK and apparently jumping into a super interesting music career, Shanaz went to high school back in Texas with me. [maybe the next time she's in the states Blue Vinyl can have her perform at Hamilton?] ok i'll stop being creepy now, she doesn't really know i'm making this post and writing all these nice things...

Freestyle Battle of the Week: E. Ness vs. Iron Solomon
I'm not posting this for the sake of posting this. These MC's went HARD. E. Ness definitely had to come through and redeem everything he's been given shit for after his debacle with Bad Boy. And Iron Solomon is apparently an NYC battle circuit legend. Watch it and see for yourself.

Something Complex: KiD CuDi
Complex: Speaking of Wale, when you hit that fan at your show last December, he came out with a line about it ["Throwin' 'round wallets like the dude that Kid Cudi hit," from "Thank You Freestyle"].
KiD CuDi: It wasn’t a shot, it’s just a simple-ass rhyme by a simple-ass rapper. You can’t let that shit faze you. That’s one of those raps that just shows the world that you wack. Why would you even use that as a metaphor? Everybody think they Hov. Niggas ain’t got the magic like they think they do; there’s only a couple of wizards in this game. I’m a wizard and I know it.

Once In A Blue Moon: Willow Smith - Whip My Hair
So I'm listening to my boy's radio show from Worcester Polytechnical Institute while at work (shout out to "The Comedian") and I hear some song bumpin' through my speakers. It just so happens I actually enjoyed it. After Googling some of the lyrics to check out who the artist was, I come across a little girl standing next to Will Smith. Turns out, the song is titled "Whip My Hair" and is by Mr. Smith's 9 YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER. Um... maybe I wasn't hearing this correctly so tell me what you think.
